Dresden rejoices: four hotels shine in the new Michelin Guide 2025!
Great joy in Dresden: The renowned Michelin Guide has honored the best hotels for 2025 and put four hotels from the region in the spotlight. Especially this Bülow Palace in Dresden Neustadt impressed the inspectors and was awarded two keys. This is another highlight Kempinski Hotel Taschenbergpalais, which also shines in this category.
But the surrounding area is not neglected either: the “Villa Sorgenfrei & Restaurant Atelier Sanssouci” in Radebeul and the Gewandhaus in Dresden’s old town can each look forward to a key. The Michelin Guide assesses hotels across five core criteria, including architecture and interior design, quality of service, character and value for money, and their role as a cultural gateway to the region.
The awards in detail
Insgesamt sind die Bewertungsinspektoren des Michelin Guides über 7.000 Betriebe weltweit auf der Suche nach besonderen Unterkünften. In Sachsen gibt es bisher kein Drei-Key-Hotel, doch in Deutschland wurden insgesamt sechs Häuser mit drei Keys prämiert. Ein Beispiel dafür ist das Hotel Traube Tonbach in Baiersbronn, which impresses with its modern country house style and first-class spa offerings.
The Bülow Palais has been part of the luxury hotel group Relais & Châteaux since 2010 and is enjoying growing popularity. Director Ralf J. Kutzner emphasizes the importance of this award for an authentic and high-quality experience. “The Michelin Keys are a symbol of exceptional stays,” says Kutzner. Particular emphasis is placed on the combination of style and service, which immerses guests in a special experience.
