The anticipation for the summer holidays is increasing because the “Holiday Calendar 2025” has been online since Monday, June 2nd, 2025 and is already full of exciting offers for young Dresden residents. This new calendar replaces the previous holiday pass and is aimed at children and young people aged 6 to 16. It offers a wide range of events and activities that are both free and affordable from June 28th to August 10th, 2025. In total, the calendar includes around 250 different offers organized by over 80 institutions in Dresden. These range from children's and youth homes, museums and libraries to sports clubs and artists.
The website, accessible at www.dresden.de/ferienkalender, offers many helpful search criteria. Parents can filter specifically by date, age, interests, organizer and district. Please note that some events require registration. Groups of five or more should also register to ensure there is enough space. All information about how to reach the event locations by public transport can be easily viewed online.
Diverse offers for all age groups
One of the highlights of the holiday calendar will be a major event at the city hall, which will take place on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Children aged 8 to 14 are welcome to take part. Registrations for this are possible until July 18, 2025, by email ferienkalender@dresden.de.
In addition to the leisure activities in the holiday calendar, parents can use discounted single or four-ticket public transport tickets for their children up to their 15th birthday. These cards do not require a customer card. There are also discounted season tickets for students, which are personal and require a valid customer card. Children and young people up to the age of 17 can even receive a budget of 15 euros per month for joint activities through the education package, which is great support for excursions during the holidays.
