A13, Dresden, Deutschland - A serious accident on the A13 caused tumulti -like scenes near Marsdorf on Tuesday evening, July 2, 2025. At around 9:50 p.m., a 60-year-old driver with his Toyota Corolla Verso skidded, crashed into the right guardrail and rolled over. When the fire brigade arrived quickly, it turned out that the vehicle was completely burned out. Despite the serious injuries, the driver was immediately recovered from the wreck and taken to a hospital. Nothing is known about its current state of health, as the portal Blick reported.

The extinguishing work was difficult because the flames spread not only on the ditch, but also to a neighboring field. Fortunately, the emergency services managed to prevent spreading to a nearby grove. For this, the volunteer fire brigades from Radeburg and Moritzburg as well as the Dresden professional fire brigade from the Albertstadt guard and the Klotzsche district fire brigade were deployed. The fire was contained with multiple jet pipes as well as water and foam.

The motorway towards Dresden remained closed during the extinguishing work and the rescue of the vehicle until around 0:30 a.m., which led to considerable traffic disruptions. The police have now started the investigation into the exact cause of the accident.
