The train attendant on a regional train from Dresden to Zittau alerted the Ebersbach Federal Police at 8:05 p.m. after the woman was found on the train, which was in Bischofswerda at the time. Since there were no patrol cars available in Bischofswerda, it was decided to take the senior citizen to Ebersbach/Saxony train station. She was taken into custody there by federal police at 8:45 p.m.
The elderly woman was dependent on medication, which increased the urgency of the case. After consulting with her facility, she was brought safely back to Dresden late in the evening and handed over to an employee of the facility at 11 p.m. Thanks to the authorities' quick reaction, something worse was prevented and the elderly woman was fine.
