Dynamo Dresden celebrates historic victory thanks to Herrmann's bicycle kick!

The football god must be a Dynamo fan! On August 24, 2025, Dynamo Dresden celebrated their first win in the current 2nd Bundesliga season against Arminia Bielefeld in the Schüco Arena. After a mixed start, which was marked by three defeats in the league and cup, an impressive bicycle kick from Luca Herrmann in stoppage time ensured the redeeming 2-1 and the first three points.

The game started promisingly for the guests from Dresden. Niklas Hauptmann gave his team a 1-0 lead in the 21st minute. This goal was not only important for the Dresden team's self-confidence, but also created an exuberant atmosphere in the guest block. Later, a goal by Kutschke, which would have given Dresden the lead again, was disallowed due to an offside decision. This caused excitement in the stands and among the players on the field.

But it's the big moments that stay in memory. In the tenth minute of stoppage time, in a game that seemed about to end in a draw, Luca Herrmann conjured up a goal that had it all. A beautiful overhead kick not only left the Bielefeld team in shock, but was also the culmination of a passionate game for the Dresden fans. Herrmann described his goal as an intuitive action that was needed in this important situation.
