Ten years of Kita Wölfnitz: summer festival delights young and old!
A special occasion for the facility in Klagenfurt-Wölfnitz: The daycare center is celebrating its tenth anniversary! Click Carinthia reports that the facility is run by the Carinthia Relief Organization and has been offering children aged one to three years a safe learning space for a decade. A total of 30 children are looked after in two groups by Claudia Wang and her dedicated team.
The anniversary was celebrated with a great summer party, the motto of which was “There's something going on on the farm!” promised lots of fun. There was a huge turnout for the various activities such as face painting, a wheel of fortune, a photo point and a visit from the aid organization's mascot Fidi. The little visitors were particularly excited about a real rabbit that small breeder Thomas Wang had brought with him. The “Fine Küchen Kulterer” and a lovingly put together cake buffet by the parents took care of their physical well-being.
Focus on early childhood education
Early childhood care is very important to the Carinthian relief organization because many parents whose maternity leave is ending are looking for reliable care for their offspring. In daycare centers like the one in Wölfnitz, playful exploration of the world is possible within a protected environment. The relief organization offers individual support that is tailored to the children's inclinations and needs. An important goal is to promote social interactions between individual children and their peers.
The daycare center offers numerous advantages such as flexible opening times, various care models and warm meals that are specifically tailored to the needs of the little ones. With experienced kindergarten teachers on the team, the facility ensures that every child receives the best possible support.
Financing and requirements
But what about financially? The Carinthian State Audit Office has taken a close look at preschool children's education in Carinthia. In a report It was determined that there is an urgent need for action to improve the offers and their financing. Of the 442 children's education and care institutions in Carinthia, almost 17,000 of the approximately 29,000 children attended one of these institutions.
Funding from the state of Carinthia is constantly increasing in order to improve the compatibility of family and work. In the 2018/19 kindergarten year, the state already covered 50 percent of the average parental contribution, which was increased to 66 percent in 2019. In many institutions, the funding is even sufficient to waive parents' fees.
In summary, it can be said that the daycare center in Wölfnitz not only looks back on ten successful years, but also makes an important contribution to early childhood education in Carinthia. With a lot of commitment and a great team, the basis for successful development is laid here.
