The reason is the ongoing filming of the new ZDF series “Droneland”, which is based on the award-worthy novel “Droneland” by Tom Hillenbrand based. On Tuesday, Martin-Luther-Straße in the Neustadt was closed for a short time while the technology ran at full speed in front of the impressive backdrop of the Semperoper. The work is scheduled to continue in the historic old town on Wednesday.
The focus of interest is on the main actors Oliver Masucci and Sophie Mousel, who embody the investigator duo Aart Westerfeld and Nina Bittman. Together they have to uncover a murder case of an EU representative - an exciting story that takes place in 2040 and critically examines the complex issues of drone use and artificial intelligence in the European Union. Other roles include well-known faces such as Sibel Kekilli and Gijs Naber Day24 reported.
An international project
“Droneland” is being realized as an international series project involving partners from four European countries: Germany, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Poland. The series is produced under the banner of the Iris Group from Luxembourg, supported by Christian Alvart and his company Syrreal Cats.
