In the Saxon state capital Dresden ABG Real Estate Group recently took over asset management for the historic Taschenbergpalais. The baroque building, which looks back on an eventful history, was built in the 18th century and restored true to the original after it was destroyed in the Second World War. In 1995, the Taschenbergpalais was converted into a five-star grand hotel and has enjoyed great popularity ever since.
The property is in a unique location between the Semperoper, the Zwinger and the Frauenkirche and is considered one of the most sought-after landmark properties in the German hotel market. The hotel not only offers 211 individually designed rooms and suites, but also spacious event and spa areas, which represent a relaxation paradise for guests.
Back in new splendor
After extensive renovation, the Taschenbergpalais reopened in 2024 and has since established itself as a hotspot for tourists and locals. It houses the renowned restaurant “Kastenmeiers”, which impresses with its first-class gastronomic offerings.
