Wunderkind Amir Mohamed: Abitur with a dream grade 0.8 in Plauen!

What an outstanding success! Amir Mohamed, an 18-year-old high school graduate from the Diesterweg Gymnasium in Plauen, has passed his matriculation examination with a fantastic grade point average of 0.8. This is a performance that does high waves not only in his school, but also in the region. The young man, who is a semi -Egyptian origin and moved to Germany from Hurghada in 2016, won the hearts of many with his fascination with logic and commitment. His secret? Listen well, that really helped him.

On June 14, 2025, the ceremonial ceremony took place in the Plauen Theater. While the graduates ceremoniously received their certificates, Amir, the best of the year, was duly celebrated with a grade average of 1.0. Further vintage were Julika Schmidt with 1.3 and Michel Grünitz, Charlotte Penzel and Helene Sachs, all of whom with 1.4 sections. Lydia Körner and Theo Valentin complete the list of the best with an average of 1.5. It's nice to see how the students have developed in recent years.
