Daughter of tradition: New pastor Wittkopf brings a breath of fresh air to Plauen!

A new wind will blow in the Johanniskirche in Plauen from July. Andreas Wittkopf, a Bayer native, takes over the management of Pastor Hans-Jörg Rummel. After a phase of the vacancy of three years, in which Lutherkirch pastor Andreas Gräßer directed the fortunes, Wittkopf describes himself as optimistic about his new role in Vogtland. Most recently he lived in Bremen, now he returns to a region that promises a lot to him. The way there was just as remarkable as his future mission, because Wittkopf brings an exciting history as a military pastor.

In addition to his position as a pastor in the Johanniskirche, he will also act as the new parish office manager of the Evangelical Lutheran Association of Plauen. Eight parishes are currently united in this large house, which, despite their individual forms, all agree: they are happy about guests and new members.
