New coach Robin Seemann is planning the Bundesliga coup with Plauen!
SVV Plauen is facing an exciting chapter in the history of water polo. Robin Seemann has taken over responsibility for the team this summer and is bringing a breath of fresh air to the 2nd Bundesliga. After a reform that reshaped the league, the new head coach has big plans and sees the opportunity as “cool.” “Plauen is the top team in the region,” emphasizes Seemann, who describes the backdrop and atmosphere as “unique”.
At 35 years old, Seemann brings a lot of experience with him. Not only was he a youth coach in Leipzig from 2010 to 2024, but he has also been in charge of the state selection of the Saxon Swimming Association since 2014. Under his leadership, Leipzig celebrated notable successes, including the U14 Cup victory and a German runner-up finish. Seemann is considered a talented developer of young players and a successful tactician - qualities that will now also benefit SVV Plauen.
A new wind in the coaching bench
Seemann's predecessor, Maik Bielefeld, is giving up the coaching position for professional reasons, but will remain with the club in organizational and administrative roles. Bielefeld looked after the Bundesliga team for two years and leaves behind a team that has clearly been shaped, both athletically and personally. The board, players and fans would like to thank him very much for his commitment and commitment.
Seemann expresses anticipation for the challenges ahead and the potential of his team. In order to get the season off to the best possible start, a training camp is planned where the players will be asked to prepare for the upcoming games. “We have the opportunity to grow and develop further,” says Seemann with conviction.
The 2nd Bundesliga in view
The 2nd Bundesliga promises an exciting season as the new regulations make the competition even more intense. How the SVV Plauen team will fare in the new table remains to be seen, but their ambitions are clear: to play in the upper reaches of the league and perhaps even fight for promotion. The start of training under Seemann has already received a positive response and the initial feedback from players is promising.
