Big children's festival in the Syra Valley: fun for young and old at the Kiwanis event!

On June 8, 2024, on the occasion of International Children's Day, the Plauen Kiwanis Club celebrated a great festival in the picturesque Syra Valley. How Free press reports, the event was once again very popular this year and attracted numerous young and old visitors.

The leisure facility in Plauen's Syratal was transformed into a true children's paradise. The offerings ranged from stilt walkers and a bouncy castle to delicious ice cream and rides on the historic park railway. Entry to many attractions was free, which made the event particularly attractive. The little guests were able to start the day with free face painting and ice cream from the Orchidee ice cream parlor.

Offers for the whole family

Particular focus was on the park railway located in the Syra Valley - the only one in Germany with electric overhead lines. This not only appealed to the children, but also to parents, who relived memories of their own childhood. A leisurely tour of the 1.1 kilometer route was possible for just €1.50 per trip, and groups even enjoyed reduced prices.

The leisure facility also offers a wide range of activities. Families could visit the petting zoo or try out minicars on the huge traffic practice area. Here the little pilots learn in a playful way what is important in traffic on a 496 meter long course. And for those who prefer something a little quieter, there is an 18-hole mini golf course and a trick pin course to relax in.

A nice tradition

The children's festival was not only organized by the Plauen Kiwanis Club, but also freshly financed in order to offer all children up to the age of 12 unforgettable experiences.
