Moschs Elektroservice: 25 years of innovation and new paths in Dresden!

“Moschs Elektroservice GmbH” was founded in Dresden-Trachau on April 1, 2000. Behind the successful company are Alexander Mosch and his father, who started his own business out of dissatisfied employment conditions. The son took over the management at just 23 years old after his father left at the age of 65. This year the company can proudly look back on 25 years full of challenges and successes.

An important step for the future of the family business is coming: The company plans to move the office and warehouse to a new property on Trachenberger Platz, but is still waiting for the building permit. June 13, 2025 was a very special day for the Moschs: The anniversary celebration took place on an Elbe steamer, where donations were collected instead of gifts for the Albert Schweitzer Children's Village in Saxony. The President of the Central Association of German Crafts, Jörg Dittrich, presented the 25th anniversary certificate to Alexander Mosch, honoring the company's achievements.

Training as the key to success

A breath of fresh air is blowing in the company's training area. Selma Thon, the 45th trainee, is the first woman in the company and has an exciting background: after studying media research, she decided to train in the trades after discovering other perspectives during internships in media companies. Their decision shows that training in the skilled trades not only includes the imparting of technical knowledge, but also the promotion of key skills such as problem solving and teamwork. This is also underlined by the Dresden Chamber of Crafts, which emphasizes that good training is important for a successful professional and private future. There is also support for trainees to pave the way to success.

The newer apprenticeships offer young people many opportunities to develop. Craft professions are very popular and not only provide solid technical training, but also good earning potential. Particularly in the construction trades, such as bricklayers or carpenters, wages are paid in accordance with the construction industry's collective agreements. Further training and further education, for example as a technician or through a degree course, can also increase the salary. Such perspectives are particularly important in a constantly changing world of work.

Insights into the numbers

Moschs Elektroservice GmbH places around 780 orders a year and lays an impressive 52 kilometers of cable and 2,700 sockets. The company's far-reaching commitment speaks for itself and shows the central role it plays in the region. In addition, the next generation of skilled workers is already being trained within our own ranks: Alexander Mosch's son can now build up his knowledge in the field of electrical engineering.

Moschs Elektroservice GmbH not only looks back on a traditionally successful past, but is also optimistic about the future. It will be interesting to see how the company will develop further and what new standards it will set in the electrical services industry. The combination of experience, innovation and a healthy mix of tradition and modernity seems to continue to be the recipe for success.

The information on the website of the Dresden Chamber of Crafts is very helpful for anyone interested in finding out more about training opportunities in the craft sector. There is also valuable information about the opportunities in the craft sector from bildung.de.

We can look forward to the next 25 years of Moschs Elektroservice GmbH!
