Acting course in Dresden: Become a stage professional from October 2025!

Something is happening in the field of acting in Dresden! The Project Theater will soon start with an exciting basic course in acting. From October 23, 2025, every Thursday, participants will benefit from a well-founded program that not only teaches the art of the game, but also strengthens personal skills.

The course aims to teach various acting techniques and enables participants to develop their own methods for theater acting. Anyone who has ever worked up a sweat while performing can learn how to deal with stage fright and overcome their fear of the audience. In addition, imagination and self-awareness are encouraged, and creative interaction within the group is high on the agenda.

Creative development in focus

The focus is diverse: In addition to physical and vocal expression, it is also about the conscious use of space and timing as well as the use of props. All of these elements contribute to systematically developing the characters and understanding what is possible in the theater. A small showcase at the end of the course will bring the techniques learned to life on stage.

The experienced theater teachers Christiane Guhr and Christian Schmidt are in charge. Guhr brings her knowledge of theater studies and art history, while Schmidt can look back on over 20 years of experience as a theater maker and dramaturge.

Course details and registration

The course dates are designed for 12 evenings, each taking place from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The fees are staggered: There are the categories basic (360 euros), fair (420 euros) and solidarity (480 euros). But that's not all the Saxon capital has to offer! In the Koblenz Drama School A workshop is regularly offered for young talents, which trains the skills for professional theater acting and at the same time promotes personal development. Here participants can learn related skills in movement, language and expression, which will help them not only on stage but also in everyday life.

Social skills in particular are trained here. Through collaboration and empathy, participants learn to find their way in groups. Fun and playfulness are of course part of the program - an ideal mix for creative minds between 8 and 18 years old.

Empowering women through acting

Another exciting aspect of theater is the empowerment and promotion of women. The 12-step theater offers seminars that aim to overcome gender-specific (self-)limitations and promote personal development. The exercises range from clear pronunciation and healthy breathing to a sharpened awareness of one's own impact on others.

Important life situations can be reflected on in a protected environment, and laughter is an essential part of learning - an excellent opportunity to try things out yourself and gain more confidence in communication!
