Night of the Museums in Dresden: Over 45 treasures are waiting for you!

On June 14, 2025, Dresden will be transformed into a nighttime treasure chest. On this day the eagerly awaited event takes place Museum night takes place, where over 45 museums and cultural institutions open their doors and offer exciting insights behind the scenes. From 6 p.m. to midnight, visitors young and old have the opportunity to enjoy the extensive program.

In the Neustadt you can visit, among other things, the BRN Museum, the Archive of the Avant-Gardes and the Kunsthaus Dresden. The Bautzner Straße Memorial and the Kügelgenhaus - Museum of Dresden Romanticism are also part of the evening's offerings. Numerous other, lesser-known places such as the Pillnitz Castle Museum and the Dresden Fortress are open to visitors, who can expect numerous special activities and insights into normally inaccessible spaces.

Diverse program

The program of the Museum night promises all sorts of things: from exhibitions and guided tours to creative hands-on activities and concerts, there is something for every taste. Particularly noteworthy are, among other things, the special exhibition “Space” by Wolfgang Tillmans in the Albertinum and the interactive offering in the Dresden City Museum, which brings the city’s 800-year history to life. For younger guests, the Book Museum offers exciting programs on the subject of chocolate and cocoa from the Mayas.

Another highlight is the “Secret Museum” event in the Police History Forum, which takes you back to times gone by. The Botanical Garden is also an attractive destination in the evening with a nightly “bioblitz” and a path of lights.

Ticket information and prices

Tickets are available now and can be purchased at Deutsche Bahn AG ticket machines and DVB AG. It is also possible to purchase tickets online. The prices for the tickets are as follows:

The ticket prices not only include entry to all participating hotels, but also free use of public transport in the Oberelbe Transport Association (VVO) on the day of the event from 2 p.m. to 4 a.m. the following day. Important: Tickets purchased online are only valid as a ticket in conjunction with an identity document.
