Second Kiezday at the Blechschloss: Creative, colorful and full of music!

On Saturday, September 27th, 2025, the tin castle in front of the barn in the outer Neustadt will be transformed into the setting for the second Kiez Day. Under the motto “Participate” – i.e. “Join in” – the event will be held from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. and marks the end of the 2025 outdoor season. City district office manager André Barth will give a review of the activities and projects in the district before the city district office leaves the area at the end of October.

The Second Kieztag has set itself the task of bringing together the community and presenting local talent. Co-coordinator Alessandro Finke emphasizes: “It is important to give citizens space to actively participate.” A highlight of the program is the creative offerings and a DJ workshop, which start at 2 p.m. The presentation of the Nacht(sch)lichter's new infobike in particular promises to provide some laughs and interesting conversations.

Cultural diversity and participatory activities

An art market that presents local artists will also be part of the Kieztag. The graffiti battle at the “Hall of Fame” is sure to awaken the creative spirit of the participants, with registrations possible on site from 1 p.m. The positive response from recent years - including the Nacht(sch)lichter project that has been successfully expanded over the last five years - shows the importance of voluntary work in the neighborhood.

After dark, the Dresden rappers Criz, Beezyboom, Monfrére and Aktiv44 add an accent to the musical accompaniment at 8 p.m. The neighborhood consultation hour, which is led by Neustadtkümmerer Peter Thormeyer, gives visitors the opportunity to address questions directly to those responsible. Thanks to the team for their regular work in the district, the event will be a real highlight for the neighborhood.

Celebrate and learn together

There has already been a lot of positive feedback from past neighborhood days, such as the neighborhood day in Alaunpark, which took place on August 4, 2024. At that time, around 700 visitors took part in workshops and offers that were specifically created for children and young people. With graffiti and breakdancing workshops, craft streets and sports activities, a colorful program was offered that strengthens the community and gives younger people a voice.
