Murder trial in Klipphausen: Widow ran over husband while jogging!

A murder trial that has shaken the region is currently taking place at the Dresden Regional Court. In the fall of 2024, the body of Peter B. (76), a lawyer who was run over while jogging, was found on the side of a path in Klipphausen. The incident was initially treated as an accident until the police began investigating his wife Ramona B. (52) and Claus T. (75), an acquaintance of the couple. The public prosecutor's office accuses the two of having planned and carried out a treacherous murder in order to get Peter's inheritance, explains Welt.

On September 27, 2024, Ramona B. is said to have run over her husband in a silver Mercedes SUV without a license plate. According to the prosecution, she is said to have driven from behind into the legs of her jogging husband at a speed of 30 to 40 km/h. Peter B. suffered fatal injuries, including broken ribs and cervical vertebrae, and died at the scene of the accident. His body was discovered by another jogger. Ramona had previously presented herself as a grieving widow, but was arrested by the SEK a day later and has been in custody ever since, Tag24 reports.

A dangerous plot

The evidence is incriminating: In addition to Ramona B., Claus T., who provided her with the car involved in the crime, is also accused. He is said to have bought the Mercedes for around 15,000 euros and received 5,000 euros and the car for his help. Ramona B. is accused of acting out of greed in order to get Peter's inheritance in the form of real estate, stocks and other investments. Claus T., in turn, is accused of making false statements. It is known that he was sued by Peter B., which is also seen as a motive for his involvement, according to Welt.

The investigation also revealed that Ramona B. was active in planning the crime and persuaded Claus T. to manipulate the evidence, for example by arranging a workshop appointment to repair the accident damage. Broken parts of the vehicle at the crime scene provided valuable information for the police, as Tag24 reports.

A trial with a lot of evidence

The trial is attracting great media interest and is scheduled for a total of twelve days of negotiations until mid-August 2025. The first witnesses are to be heard, including the jogger who found Peter's body and a witness who saw him shortly before the tragedy. The public prosecutor's office has numerous other witnesses, including police officers, relatives and forensic scientists, who could help solve the case, according to information from the Saxony Police.

Under the circumstances, it is understandable that the case continues to stir emotions in Klipphausen and beyond. The allegations and the evidence collected cast a dark light on the supposed horror scenarios that can be imagined in a murder plot. While the injured and the victim's relatives mourn, it remains to be seen how the justice system will decide.
