The list also includes current works such as the documentary “Aşk, Mark ve Ölüm – Love, D-Mark and Death”, which will be shown on June 27th. A look behind the scenes
But what makes KiK so special? This independent university cinema, founded in 1993 by students from the Technical University of Dresden and the University of Technology and Economics, attaches great importance to showing films in the original language, sometimes with subtitles. The films are often supplemented by informative lectures that offer a deeper insight into the topic.
Not only is the selection of films impressive, but also the location itself. The lecture hall, which was once part of the NVA military academy, was recently extensively renovated and now offers state-of-the-art screen and sound technology.
