Gorbitz celebrates fairytale western slope festival: a festival for all the senses!

Gorbitz, Deutschland - On June 14th the time has come again: The western slope festival in Gorbitz transforms the height promenade between Sachsenforum and Amalie-Dietrich-Platz into a fairytale festival. Organized by Astrid Hoffmann and Jürgen Czytrich, the event will come up with a colorful program for young and old from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. For the organizers who actively strive for the positive image of Gorbitz, it is important to set an example and show the colorful variety of the district. Sächsische Zeitung reports that this year's motto is to be carried into another world.

Admission will turn out to be a true land of milk and honey for the small guests. Activities such as the handicrafts of Aladin's miracle lamp, gilding hazelnuts and an exciting fairy tale course are offered. In addition, the children can try circus games, listen to stories or measure their strength on the Rapunzel climbing tower. Dresden Week adds that a doll game by the "cultivated wolf" is enchanted at 3 and 4 p.m.

food and drink for every taste

The culinary highlights are of course not missing. Visitors can look forward to "Teufelchen's pancakes", "Buttjes Fischbrötchen" and "Cinderella's pea soup", while Hänseln's stick bread leaves nothing to be desired for the small hunger. The festival is musically supported by the "addition of orchestra" and the "sheet metal avalanche", which with its sounds ensure a cheerful atmosphere. A culinary delight is also the invitation to the Gorbitzer to submit their own recipes. These can be sent in by May at the email address passage@jks.dresden.de. Dresden Woche promises that a selected favorite dish will be prepared by private chef Kai Kai during the festival.

The festival also has a special goal: it should carry the positive image of Gorbitz out into the world. This is particularly important because the social city funding program, which ran over 20 years, ends this year. With a budget of around 30,000 euros, the organizers plan to bring the last beautiful colors into the 15-year history of the festival. For all those who do not want to miss the festival, June 14th is a good opportunity to keep a piece of home.
