Theater project for young people: Creativity for a sustainable future!
The new initiative "Planet Future - Theater Days of the Future" brings a breath of fresh air to Dresden! Organized by the Sukuma Arts e. V. offers this exciting project of young people the opportunity to fully live their creative talents in a summer vacation program. Not only ideas are required here, but the young people can also actively write down, help shape and play along. This creates its own play in a relaxed atmosphere, supported by an experienced theater educator.
An important goal of "Planet Future" is to form an active youth community that is committed to global sustainability. The project encourages the participants to make their contribution to a better future every day and to realize their visions. In addition to the creative work, there is also time for relaxation, cooking and playing together. A real fun factor that welds the group together!
justice and sustainability in focus
What does that have to do with sustainability? A lot! As explained by the bkj , the term justice includes both climate law and social justice from the perspective of sustainability. Theater can play a key role here by combining knowledge, feeling and acting and enables the young actor: inside to look beyond their own living conditions.
Important topics are also the UN sustainability goals, which should find more and more attention in many programs of the performing arts. This includes fighting poverty and hunger, health, high -quality education and gender equality. The Berliner Festival emphasize that the exchange about sustainable cultural work can produce impressive approaches such as "More culture with less environmental impact". The commitment to a permanent awareness in the arts is crucial.
Actually, all actors have: inside who work in the representative arts, the responsibility, they only have to become aware of it and clearly communicate the topics. Sustainability should not only be seen as a short -term goal, but should be firmly anchored in the theater work.
"Planet Future" stands for this change. It offers the possibility that young people actively deal with topics of sustainability and thus lay a foundation for future projects. A strong network of committed young people could help shape a better world - and already!
The theater days are not only a platform for creative development, but also a space to illuminate important social and ecological questions. The association Sukuma Arts e. V. has kept a good hand for these concerns and thus picks up the youth where they can experience joy and community.
