Apply now for the German Neighborhood Prize 2025!
This week the application phase begins for the German Neighborhood Prize 2025, an important competition to strengthen cohesion in our districts. From June 3rd to July 18th, 2025, all neighbors, groups, neighborhood associations as well as non-profit organizations and social enterprises can submit their projects. The aim is to promote coexistence and improve the quality of life in the various neighborhoods johannstadt.de.
A total of 16 projects will be honored at state level, which stand out in five categories: “Generations”, “Culture & Sport”, “Sustainability”, “Public Space” and “Diversity”. Each state winning project receives 2,000 euros, while the winning projects in the categories are awarded up to 5,000 euros. This prize money is expressly intended for community-oriented commitment in the neighborhood.
Commitment in focus
Neighborhood projects are great opportunities to create a sense of community and tackle local challenges together. There are numerous initiatives - from small actions to large-scale events, covering social, cultural and environmental aspects.
