Plauen lights up: The 18th Night of the Muses inspires everyone!

It will be colorful and exciting again in Plauen from June 27th, 2025 - because the 18th Plauen Night of the Muses is just around the corner! From 6 p.m. to 1 a.m., the various venues open their doors and invite visitors to a colorful program full of activities, exhibitions and music.

This special event has been taking place for almost 20 years. With the commitment of numerous volunteers, the city is becoming a creative center. A total of 19 institutions are taking part, including the Vogtland Museum, the Gallery e.o.plauen and the Luther Church. There is something for young and old, from interactive tours to impressive exhibitions.

Diverse offers for everyone

The program promises a lot of variety. This year the church will be transformed into a planetarium, while the painter's studio will mutate into a fantasy room. A concert is also offered in the museum courtyard, and a facade of a town hall serves as a projection surface for light shows. Everything is done here to give visitors an unforgettable experience.

Entry wristbands for the event are available until June 26th for 7 euros (reduced 4 euros). These wristbands are also valid as tickets for trams as well as city and night buses from 5 p.m. to the end of operations. If you want to make a decision at short notice, you can buy it at the box office for 10 euros (reduced 6 euros). And for the little ones, entry is free up to the age of 6 – a real reason to be happy!

Look beyond the borders

Looking back at similar events in the region, for example Chemnitz Museum Night a positive balance with over 30,000 visits. The guests there were particularly interested in the exhibitions on urban development and appreciated the diversity of the offering, which this time also included the most modern presentation techniques.

Walther Blümel, the chairman of the organizing team, has demonstrated a good knack for designing the program. He is satisfied with the commitment of the volunteers, but at the same time emphasizes: “There are limits to volunteer work, but the well-being of the visitors must always be the focus.”

The people of Plauen and their neighbors can look forward to an evening full of culture, music and conviviality. Further information about the Night of the Muses can be found at museumsnacht-plauen.de or at the tourist information office, which also sells entry wristbands.
