Big traffic day in Plauen: Free family fun in the Syra Valley!
On June 14, 2025, the leisure facility in the Syratal in Plauen will be the venue for what is now the fourth traffic day of the Vogtland transport association. From 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., visitors young and old are invited to experience an exciting day with a colorful program that does not cost any admission. The Vogtland Transport Association (VVV) has put together a varied offer that appeals not only to families, but also to everyone who is looking for fun and information about public transport.
The highlights include attractions such as a bungee trampoline, the popular Carlotta the clown, a bouncy castle and an exciting cycling course. The little artists can also get creative with face painting and craft activities. The Plauen youth fire brigade provides a special thrill with its bus school, where safety when driving a bus is taught in a playful way.
A day full of fun and information
The event doesn’t just focus on entertainment – it also provides information. Numerous interactive information stands offer insights into the topics of buses, trains, trams as well as the areas of tourism and accessibility. There is also the opportunity to find out about volunteer work here. A cycling simulator from the Kreisverkehrswacht Vogtland e.V. ensures that everyone who enjoys traveling on two wheels can easily understand important safety tips.
Celebrity guests will also be on site: the tram mascot Trami and the BLICK mascot Capy promise special encounters. There are also various participation activities and competitions waiting to be discovered. Organizer Michael Barth and over 50 dedicated helpers do a great job to make this day an unforgettable experience.
Arrival made easy
For anyone who wants to travel by public transport, we recommend purchasing a VVV day ticket. The nearest stops are the Obere Bahnhof in Plauen, for both trains and trams, and the bus station. About 15 minutes' walk separates visitors from the leisure facility, where the fun is already waiting for them.
The anticipation of the traffic day is increasing, and the organizers are sure: a visit is worth it for everyone who wants to spend a nice day with family or friends. And for anyone who needs further excursion tips, the familienausflug.info platform offers valuable information on the best excursion destinations around Austria, Germany, South Tyrol and Switzerland.
