Unfortunately, the driver was thrown from the car upon impact and suffered serious injuries.
As Sächsische.de reports, there is evidence that the driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, which probably influenced the severity of his injuries. In addition, a breath alcohol test showed a value of 0.8 per mille. This is a worrying value because it exceeds the limit of 0.5 per mille, which is already considered an administrative offense. The driver faces a fine of 500 euros and two points in Flensburg.
