Bus stop Pöhl laid: bathers have to run longer!
From Saturday, June 28, 2025, there will be news for all bathers at the Pöhl dam. The season bus, which has been an important connection to this popular destination for years, will no longer drive to the Peninsula in the future. Instead, the passengers have to end the bus ride at the new hiking car park at the junction to the Castle Peninsula. This means that a footpath of about 1.4 kilometers must now be planned to get to the seaside resort, as from Freepresse.de
The changes in the lines are not only due to the relocation of the Neudörfel stop. Rather, a revised timetable comes into force, which makes the Pöhl dam more accessible, especially as part of the upcoming summer vacation in Saxony. The season bus line 74 now runs daily and also offers transfer connections at Joceta station, which make traveling easier for passengers from different locations such as Adorf, Bad Brambach or Falkenstein. The dam becomes more attractive for many day trippers and can be reached with just one change, such as
For the summer vacation that start on June 28, not only the season bus line 74 was optimized. The existing switching options from cities such as Reichenbach, Zwickau and Plauen also remain. An additional return trip from the Pöhl dam to Plauen is offered at 7.30 p.m., which gives bathers more flexibility. The journey to the dam can be planned via Vogtland Information.de. In addition to the season bus line 74, lines 87 and 88 are also active, which run on weekends and public holidays and head for the dam by the end of August. The regional rail connections to Jocketa, where a 20-minute walk from there leads to the dam, are a popular alternative, especially for those who appreciate a little walk. Through the construction site on Reißiger Straße in Plauen, there are also further adjustments in the line path, which will last until November 2025. Some stops are eliminated, including the city park stop and Hainstrasse. The replacement retention at the cemetery I will still secure mobility. The changes in the bus stop structure are not only a small trouble, but also bring new opportunities to explore the wonderful nature around the Pöhl dam. For all interested parties, the current timetables on the Pöhl Dam and via the VVV Mobil App can be found. The tourist farms are also available for questions on 03744-19449. A trip to the Pöhl dam could perhaps be twice the way this summer - once through the journey and once through the beauty of the environment. The new timetables and connections
