A light shaft on Metzer Straße, in the immediate vicinity of the PSD Bank on the corner of Hauptstraße, was the starting point for the operation. Smoke coming from a basement alerted residents and prompted the fire department to respond quickly. The exact cause of the fire remains unclear for the time being, but it mainly burned dry leaves, reports Saxon newspaper.
The fire department arrived at the scene on Wednesday afternoon, immediately noticed smoke in the basement and immediately started fighting the fire. Thanks to quick and targeted measures, the flames were quickly extinguished using a jet pipe. Fortunately, no one was injured, which is a great asset in such situations.
