Neustadt, Deutschland - The city of Dresden has increased its fees for the residents' parking certificates. From the 1. July 2025 the new tariffs apply on 31. March 2025 decided by the city council. The last expansion of the residents' park area took place in the September 2019 in the Neustadt south of Bautzner Straße. Today the available parking spaces are very limited: they are only located east of the Prießnitz, west of the Königsbrücker and north of the Alaunplatz. While residents do not need parking certificates with a residents' parking permit, users can expect increased parking fees that were already introduced in the outer Neustadt in 2021.

Application of the resident parking card

If you want to apply for a resident parking license, you have to meet some requirements. First of all, an official report in the affected area is required. In addition, a valid driver's license in class A, A1, A2 or B is required. Your own vehicle is also necessary, with cars of up to 3.5 t or motorcycles above 50 cm³. People with a parking space on private grounds do not receive an ID card, and residents of new buildings that were built according to 1990 also fall from the regulation.
