A total of nine buildings in the east of Görlitz were searched, with the main activities concentrated particularly on Hospitalstrasse, Bahnhofstrasse and Otto-Buchwitz-Platz. The raid comes at a time when the Görlitz Police Department is drawing an alarming conclusion for 2023. The increase in crimes speaks volumes: 46,123 offenses were recorded within the police's area of ​​responsibility, which corresponds to an increase of 24.5 percent compared to the previous year.
